Gengan  ( (げん) (がん)? Yan Yan), also known as Kikyou  (桔梗 (ききょう)?), is a general of Shoku and Kouchuu's close friend and drinking partner. She is one of the many heroines in the Koihime†Musou series, first introduced in Shin Koihime†Musou.

Kouchuu's close friend and drinking partner. She sports a large red shoulder armor on her left shoulder when geared up for battle. Very tall and quite voluptuous, she teases Kazuto often just like Kouchuu does.

Anime version[]

A single female federal lord that was the teacher of Gien, she decommissioned her from straining the promise that Gien would not draw her sword. Even though she has duties as a federal lord, she does do some leisurely activities ranging from drinking alcohol to attending and betting on horse races. She reappears near the end to help in the final battle against Ukitsu and his Terracotta Warriors.

Trivia[]

  • Although her weapon is officially described as "a combination of crossbow and sword", it is essentially an oversized revolver with a blade attached that fires giant bolts, effectively making it a gunblade resembling those of the Final Fantasy universe.
    • It's trigger mechanism, however, is indeed based on that of a crossbow.
  • It's very likely that her weapon has is gunpowder based, making her the only character to wield a firearm.
  • The character on her shoulder guard means "drunk".
  • In the animated opening of Sengoku†Koihime, Ashikaga Kazuha Yoshiteru summon the weapons of various Koihime†Musou heroines as projectiles for her attack; among those is Gengan's gunblade.
  • Kikyou took the ninth place in the poll of the most popular character in the Shoku story company.[1]
