Koihime † Wiki

Kan  ( (かん)? Han) is one of the factions in the Koihime†Musou series. It serves as a faction that houses the leaders of the country during the end of the Kan Dynasty, centered around the Emperor, and ruled over China until the splintering that resulted into the Three Kingdoms Era.

Technically, all other factions served under Kan as retainers of the country up until the beginning of the Three Kingdoms Era, however some of these is just lip service, as certain factions, such as the Sousou Faction are already plotting a way to take control of the country away from the Kan and into their own.

After their introduction in Shin Koihime†Musō -Kakumei-, members of the Toutaku Faction are labeled as being members of the Kan, instead.

Goal[]

To maintain power over the country as the descendants of the Han Dynasty.

History[]

Koihime†Musou and Shin Koihime†Musou[]

Served as the predecessor of the Three Kingdoms Era. After Emperor Ling's death, however, various factions competed for the empty throne, including He Jin (Kashin) and Liu Xie (Ryuukyou). At the end, however, the Toutaku Faction won and took over control, until their eventual defeat against the Anti-Toutaku Alliance.

Moe Shouden[]

Set in a timeline roughly after the formation of the Three Kingdoms of Shoku, Gi, and Go, the Kan Dynasty has long since fallen. and is largely defunct.

Shin Koihime†Eiyuutan[]

Set in a timeline roughly after the formation of the Three Kingdoms of Shoku, Gi, and Go, the Kan Dynasty has long since fallen. and is largely defunct.

Shin Koihime†Musou -Kakumei-[]

With the introduction of members of the Imperial Court such as Reitei and Kentei into the world of Koihime†Musou, the Kan Dynasty is now a proper faction.

Souten no Haou[]

Son Go no Kechimyaku[]

Ryuuki no Taibou []

The ruling faction of the empire, ruling it for hundreds of years. However, it is now in a state of decline, as power is slowly seeping away from the Kan Dynasty and towards the local warlords.

The current ruler, Reitei, seems largely content to not do anything, as her caretaker, Chouchuu, a member of the Ten Eunuchs, prefers to spoil the Emperor rotten rather than bother her with the worries of the empire. Reitei also brought Kataigou in as her Empress, as well as placing Kashin, Kataigou's sister, in the position of Great General, although the former butcher has no experience with leading an army. The scheming empress, enjoying the decadent life of Empress, found herself wanting to maintain this status quo.

Meanwhile, Reitei's younger sister, Ryuukyou, finds the situation rather difficult. Her sense of responsibility is better than Reitei's and the current state of the Imperial Court is rather untenable. But she is only the princess, a spare to the throne of Emperor, without the ability to influence much. As the responsible sibling, Ryuukyou thought it her duty to help the populace, so she enlists the help of Toutaku Chuuei.

Toutaku Chuuei would oblige her, and help her remove Reitei from the position of Emperor. Ryuukyou would then take the name Kentei as her Imperial Name, and Toutaku is then named the Chancellor of State so that she could help with her matters.

The two are young and idealistic, and they enacted many policies in order to help the Empire. However, the extreme measures that they took to get to this point proved too much and people start calling them tyrants. Toutaku is then named as a scapegoat for the tyranny. Roshoku would go to ask for aid from Ryuubi, while Kouhosuu remain to help the Kan Dynasty. The Anti-Toutaku Alliance was born, and upon Toutaku's defeat, the Kan, too, fell with them, their members largely scattered.

Reitei, Kentei, and Chouchuu, alongside the majority of the Toutaku Faction, would be recruited into what would become Shoku. Chouryou, a general of Toutaku's, would be shanghaied into service by Sousou. Kataigou and Kashin disappeared and is randomly seen as travelers off and on the story, while Kayuu disappeared from the story entirely.
